The work of this conceptual and media artist includes graphic, painting, video, multimedia, object and drawing. From 1972 to 1978 he studied art history and special education in Bonn and Cologne. First studio in Duisburg until 1988, then removal to Cologne. Examination of the structure and modes of production of media images, with perception and reception of media icons of film, art, sports and politics. Hildebrandt's long-term project of "Bildstörung“ (pictorial perturbation) show up in works of graphic and cinematic image encryptions, pointillist grey paintings and Zeitungsübermalungen.
