Edition released to the exhibition “Vorbilder“ at the Neues Museum Linz (follower institution: Lentos Kunstmuseum). In this working group Irene Andessner restaged self-portraits of female painters from four centuries for video and photographic works – interpreted for today. Self-portraits after self-portraits by Sofonisba Anguissola (1552), Angelika Kauffmann (1770–75), Gwen John (1900) and Frida Kahlo (1930), in addition to a self-portrait without role model.
